Mary Ann Oxtoby has lived In Hussar, Alberta for all but two of her 22 years. She has been singing since the age of three. Under the direction of Kenna Richard from her church choir, she was chosen as one of only 20 people to join the Theatre Arts Performance Program at Red Deer College. Growing up, Mary Ann was very involved with her music, cowboys and riding horses. She met her husband at the Calgary Stampede, and is now mom to 2 year-old son Jayden Cash. Her dream of singing for a living has begun with this CD, her first recording.

Ty Hart is a father of two and a former professional wrestler. He started his singing career with karaoke contests, winning a few and a trip to Calgary. This gave him the opportunity to enter the first Alberta's Finest talent search and cut his first recording. He regularly lends his time and talent to community events, raising funds for local baseball teams and reading programs at his daughter’s school. Entertaining at a trail ride for victims of violence ranks among his favorite performances. His aim is to leave his mark in the Country Music industry.

Roxanne Rouzes originally hails from Newfoundland. She has eight sisters and one brother, all of whom sing, dance or play instruments. She moved to Calgary in 1996 and is thankful every day for making that decision. Calgary has been good to her and she hopes to give a little back with her music. A big thanks to Western Star for aligning her with so many phenomenal singers, songwriters, musicians and producers, of whom she now calls friends. Joelle Kupin, with her family’s support,  has always been a creative person. Stacy Zimmer made her debut in grade 6 at her school’s “Greenvlew Country and Western Nights” talent show singing the Patsy Cline hit “Walkin’ After Mid night". This fueled her love of singing and performing and led to numerous awards. These include 1st place in Sherwood Park’s 2001 Talent Quest, top 10 finishes in Country Vocal Spotlight and Country Fest In Dauphin, Manitoba. She was a guest entertainer at 2003’s Big Valley Jamboree in Canmore and is the first female lead singer of the band "Laredo". A lover of all musical genres, no matter where Stacy is, you can be sure she’s humming a little tune!

Shannon Niehaus discovered at the tender age of twelve that playing guitar and songwriting were her passions. From age 18 to 22 she was the lead singer for a band in Saskatoon, singing various genres of music, but Country soon became her favorite. She has performed with Duane Steele and was also a winner of “Road to Big Valley” in 2003 where she sang for 15,000 people, sharing the stage with Aaron Pritchett! Shannon is always a crowd favorite and is thrilled to be a part of this fantastic project.

Rob Russell started life in Newfoundland listening to his Dad play the guitar and singing his original songs. It wasn’t until he received his own guitar from his wife in 1987 that Rob discovered that he was a natural musician. Within a week he was playing along with tunes on the radio, leading to live performances, and he’s never looked back! Blessed with a 5-octave range and a unique sound, he is carving out his own niche in the country music circuit. A CD of Rob’s original material will be released in the Fall of 2004.
